mission monday / clerks 2 dvd / today / prmf 23 description [Aug. 11th, 2006|11:59 pm]

[Current Music |Nickelback - Savin' Me | 3:38]

Paramount has scheduled single-disc and double-disc editions of Mission: Impossible 3 on DVD for "Mission Monday" October 30th. HD-DVD & Blu-ray Disc versions will also be released that day. At least this time they've done the smart thing and lowered the prices on the two-tier release tactic. The one-disc will retail for $19.99, while the 2-disc Collector's Edition will retail for only $24.99. And the HD versions will each retail for only $29.99. :)

DavisDVD reports that Clerks II has already been officially announced for DVD release on December 5th. Expect a nice two-disc set. :)

I tried to sleep. But the cat woke me up by literally meowing in my ear at 4AM. I got online for awhile for some reason. I checked out Amazon Germany to see how far ahead they are with Power Rangers DVD releases. They're getting full volumed seasons of everything from Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, Lightspeed Rescue.. while we're stuck with barely anything at all. *sigh* I also.. sorta placed a "PayPal Donate" link onto my LJ profile. We're having much trouble making it food & gas-wise month to month. My dad's nearly broke for the month and it's only the 11th. :( Not to mention I do sort of provide a service with my news postings. But I doubt anyone will help out anyway..

By the time I got tired of being online, it had already reached 7AM. Ugh. So I got back online and did a few other things, while ignoring my dad's relay of "new information" on the UK terror plot. *rolls eyes* I returned to the living room and fell asleep for a bit. Then we had some breakfast and watched some morning TV. I then watched the day's Edgemont (ah, everything is starting to come to a conclusion now.. nice). All while ignoring the pain near my heart. Again. My dad took off for the hospital again, then I transferred something to tape while I got online s'more. I had to restart the recording twice because my VCR is a cheap Wal-Mart piece of shit. :( Once I was done online, I watched two more DVD episodes of Prison Break: Season 1 (yay, it's getting better now :) ).. then got back online to news-gather. :p When my dad returned home, we watched Passions (haha's @ Jared's misfortune) then I got back online to finish the news.

At 8PM, I tried my best to ignore my dad's comment about wishing he had died instead of my mother all those years ago.. and watched the new episode of Power Rangers Mystic Force -- 1623: "Heir Apparent II". It wasn't as great as the first part, but it was pretty close. Those damn kid shout-outs that covered the bottom third of the screen were pretty damn annoying. I'll probably have to retape it now. The Yin Yang Yo! music video during the commercial break looked pretty stupid. It made me want to see the show less than I already do.. But let's get to the episode..

major prmf 23 & minor prmf 24 spoilers )

My dad went off to bed early for some reason, while I typed out the longest PR episode description I've done in a while. It took me nearly 90 minutes to do it too. I finished up just in time to watch The Soup (lol). I also watched some Chelsea Handler (blah) and Live At Gotham on Comedy Central (lol) before giving up and returning to my room for the night.

*sigh* See ya.

Saturday 11.20.04 -- The (Unexciting) End of Power Rangers Dino Thunder [Nov. 20th, 2004|11:57 pm]
[Tags|]
[Current Mood | okay]

3:51AM
I just finished finalizing last night's entry. I was quite behind on the news and link portions, specifically. But now I'm finally heading to bed. 'Night.

Oh, I bet you've seen Rangers in cosplay... but what about Megazords? ..Wow..

9:04AM
It felt like only a month or so ago when Power Rangers Dino Thunder first began. And it has all come down to today's final episode -- "Thunder Struck, Part II". The series might not have had the best teamup or finale ever, but you must admit that it was pretty damn good in all... 'thunder struck part ii' spoiler description )

2:09PM
That description actually took longer to write than usual, mostly because I took breaks and I just couldn't get into it that much. After an amazing Part 1 written by Doug Sloan, Ann Austen's Part II just somewhat disappointed me. :/ Maybe because it seemed too much like a "regular episode", besides a few certain scenes..? After I was finished, I watched the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I liked the references to the invasion (I like continuity). I sorta fell asleep during it though. So after I finished taping it, I rewound it and watched half of it over again. :p In all, pretty good. After that, I watched another Smallville Season 3 episode on DVD ("Asylum"), as well as the first two episodes on the TMNT Vol 13 Battle Nexus DVD. Both were pretty awesome.. even though I fell asleep again for part of the former. I just wasn't able to get enough sleep... :( And they've finally got it right with TMNT DVDs: the recaps are included before each episode, plus there's an interview featurette about Usagi. :)

8:11PM
We watched my Elf DVD, and we liked the movie a lot. So funny. :) A little later, I watched Best Week Ever. Then watched the local news with my dad. Just about the entire hour was about the brawl at the end of last night's Pacers game. They showed it in its entirety.. and I DVRed it. >_> Now I'm bored, waiting for another show to start...

11:15PM
I just finished watching the premiere of Katherine Heigl's new movie, Love's Enduring Promise. I liked the original film, Love Comes Softly.. but this sequel just couldn't keep my attention. :( Maybe because Katherine didn't get as much screen time this time around? *shrug*

Today's final episode of Dino Thunder being not-so-good sorta let me say goodbye to the series easier. I am already looking forward to S.P.D.. I ..just made the first tape for it (anymore, I add pre-season promos to the tape before the episodes, so..). Also, Doug Sloan has written a farewell message to the fans on Rangerboard. Be sure to check it out... Also, wow -- A PRDT snowglobe. I'd definately buy it.. if it didn't cost so damn much. :p

See ya.

Damnit. Yes, I am still awake.. but not for much longer.. I hope..

lol @ Conner's diary..

9:02AM
Whoa. Just finished watching the new Power Rangers Dino Thunder episode, "Thunder Struck Part 1". It's the beginning of the season finale... so of course it was fucking awesome! 'thunder struck part 1' spoiler description )

12:23PM
I watched / taped this morning's new DVRed episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Awesome conclusion to the storyline! ..But back to 'regular' episodes next week. *sigh* After that, I watched ALF's Hit Talk Show (it's all retro) and Drawn Together (the funniest episode yet! And it's just been picked up for a second season).

5:11PM
I headed to Walgreens and bought a few things I needed, then watched another X-Files DVD episode and The Stepford Wives. The episode was awesome, the movie wasn't as good as I was expecting. It's somewhat comedic (especially a few of those deleted scenes), but I just didn't like it all that much. It would've been better as a rental.. or a viewing on HBO or something. *shrug*

We're having a terrible excuse for supper today because of our money problems. :/ My dad's temper has flared as of late, over the cat doing things he doesn't want him to do. It looks like this one's going the same way as the last one. Maybe he'll even be out before Christmas. :| My dad's also bitching over a little thing like not being able to buy a lottery ticket. I guess I shouldn't be complaining though, since I would be doing the same (and more) if I couldn't buy more DVDs. :(

11:25PM
I didn't really do anything else after the above... Except while my dad went to his friend's place to watch his basketball game, I played some more San Andreas. :p But again, it was mostly filling my garages. I seem to be addicted to collecting motorcycles again, like I did back in Vice City. :) I just wish I had more property with garages to buy.. without going further in the missions. :| lol @ flying that plane.. then crashing it almost immediately.. on purpose. Whee.

Now I'm watching MadTV. lmfao @ the Kenny Rogers reality show and Will Sasso's skits in general.. See ya.

9:02AM
Wow. Just finished watching Power Rangers Dino Thunder's "A Test of Trust". I was expecting more than a clip show, so I was disappointed pretty early... 'a test of trust' spoiler description )

2:36PM
I watched / taped the new episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ("Worlds Collide, Part II") on DVR as soon as I finished the PRDT description. Gladly, even though I forgot to reset it to make sure it got the entire episode.. it did. I'll have to remember to reset it for next week. Great episode too. :) After that, I watched ALF's new late night talk show on the DVR from last night. Soo funny. Then I watched this week's Best Week Ever (America had the best week ever?! Fuck no!), an X-Files episode on DVD (that.. I fell asleep during.. again.. but my dad liked it.. and I had already seen it so it's not so bad..), the last two episodes of Simple Life Season 1 (finally), and the first three episodes of the TMNT Vol 12 DVD. I had forgotten all about this DVD until recently (Vol 13 is out Tuesday. Ack!). At that point, I was wanting to try playing a little San Andreas, but my dad took over the TV. So now I'm quite bored...

5:18PM
My dad has refused to give up the living room TV.. even though I really haven't asked him. *ahem* In my boredom, I went around to a few websites (some multiple times).. then updated my photo gallery layout. I like this one much better. You can actually read the description now. :) I would have preferred it be only on the folder's page, but there's no option to change that. Ah well. *shrug*

12:04AM
I sorta went crazy on San Andreas. So I think I've had enough of it for a while... meaning, this weekend. :p My dad left to watch the basketball game elsewhere at maybe 6-7PM. And I was playing up until now. O_O My dad even came back and eventually went to bed. So in the game, I used the "no wanted level" cheat code. I went all over San Fierro. I even climbed to San Andreas' highest point, Mount Chiliad, and parachuted all the way down. :) Then, I visited Las Venturas, but was unable to find a casino I could go into. Then I went into a strip club.. and it sorta froze. *shrug* I feel evil for making my dad miss SNL though. :(

Most of today was boring, but tomorrow holds promise. My dad is going off to church for the first time in a while And with his track record, he won't be home for a while. See ya...

*sigh* I work on the entries all day long. Moreso on the weekday versions. And it was just gone. No reason whatsoever. I saved the draft, loaded another semagic file, then loaded the draft.. and it was gone. I'm fucking tired of all this negative shit.. I need to get out some of this newfound stress.. by killing people.. *goes to play San Andreas*

3:46PM
This time, I mostly just shopped for more clothes, failed a mission, and listened to the radio for awhile. *shrug*

Here's a Friday recap of the things I remember doing for those who want to know (all two of you)...

Early morning: San Andreas playing -- a visit to the carnival thing on Los Santos' farthest point southwest.
Morning: late awakening; watched / taped the DVRed life as we know it -- awesome; watched the DVRed Drawn Together - interesting.
Afternoon: Passions was okay; watched Arrested Development ep 19-20; San Andreas play -- parachuting in downtown Los Santos, motorcycle re-organizing, finally got to buy some clothes
Evening: watched / taped The Tribe -- great episodes; watched Joan of Arcadia -- stupid episode about "stealing" from the homeless; watched Hope & Faith and Less Than Perfect Halloween episodes -- funny

Goodnight.

8:01AM
Whoa. Just finished watching Power Rangers Dino Thunder's new episode, "House Of Cards". ...Whoa... 'house of cards' spoiler description )

9:33AM
Just finished watching this week's new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles -- "Worlds Collide, Part I". Awesome episode. Fortunately, they didn't start replacing our apartment's front door until just after it was over. Damn, they're loud. At least they're doing it. My dad has been bitching about how loose the door is when locked (you even have to deadbolt lock it to keep it closed!) and about how much air comes in and out through it for months. :/ But this leaves the living room TV unwatchable. Booorrrreeedddd...

But back to TMNT... DVDtoons.com is reporting that another DVD release of the original Ninja Turtles animated series will be released in Spring 2005. Niiiice. :) Unfortunately, no other information is currently available..

11:52AM
I just want to say.. thanks to Kids' WB for starting a new series called The Batman, getting me somewhat-hooked after four episodes, then going into reruns to make me forget about the show enough to miss DVRing today's new episode. And there's no longer a repeat of the new episode during the week. Thanks again! *rolls eyes*

Also, I tried to watch my scheduled DVD episodes just now, but my dad took over the TV like Hitler.. except he didn't kill me. :(

5:21PM
I pretty much wasted the day away. I was able to watch the first X-Files DVD episode, but I started the second one.. and fell asleep almost immediately. :( I woke up long enough to take the DVD out, then slept all afternoon. Until my dad woke me for supper. *sigh*

11:02PM
My dad went outside to discuss with his friend / neighbor the best way to ignore tomorrow's halloweeners, so I put in San Andreas and played it for a good five hours or so. I tried another mission. Failed. Tracked down a quadbike that I had heard about and added it to my collection. Eventually, my dad came in and I showed him some things in the game. Like the country radio station I knew he'd like, the auto repair place, the food, dance club, horse betting, the bar etc. He even coached me a little in a pool game.. :p Now he has changed his mind and agrees with me that it was worth the $50. Heehee. :) *goes to watch MadTV*

Happy Halloween! ...I guess... And the links section below is longer because I had catch up from yesterday.. See ya.

Wow. This San Andreas fansite Q&A has a few pretty cool spoilers for the game. Also, I've heard that GameStop and east coast EBGames stores will begin selling the game Monday evening at 7PM ET, I'll probably still wait until Tuesday though.. :|

8:03AM
Just finished watching Power Rangers Dino Thunder's new episode, "Drawn Into Danger". It was pretty good. Next week looks even better... 'drawn into danger' spoiler description ) Next week: "House of Cards" -- The monster of the week reveals to the other Rangers that Trent is keeping some secrets from them. And Tommy asks him if this could be true. Could this be the beginning of the end?! ...Most likely. There's only four episodes left, after all... Stay tuned!

9:31AM
Just finished watching the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: "Space Invaders, Part III", and end to a storyline.. in title alone. I loved this saga, and next week looks great too: "Worlds Collide, Part One". It begins where this one left off.. I like long saga storylines. If only PR would be so daring in the current seasons..

1:27PM
Almost right after TMNT, I watched more episodes of X-Files (I fell asleep :( ) and Arrested Development (rofl), and Nadesico (lol.. I think I'm hooked now O_O). Then, I watched Best Week Ever, and deleted the morning's DVRing of The Batman. Damn reruns. Now I'm trying to keep control of the living room TV.. so I gotta go.. :p

6:34PM
Ugh. I took over the living room TV and played GTA Vice City for a few hours. My dad just slept most of that time. I wasn't really enjoying it all that much for some reason. Maybe I am finally tired of just rampaging every time I play. Or maybe I just don't like it anymore after hearing of all the improvements that are going to be in San Andreas...? *shrug* The anticipation is killing me. :/ ...So my dad made a pretty lame supper then escaped pretty quickly. Sooo bored now...

8:58PM
Today's as bad as those Sundays I used to have. Uggh. I tried to take the free time to watch two more episodes of Nadesico so I could hopefully finish up Volume 1 tomorrow (nine episodes for $15. Nice. I might just get Volume 2 of 3 as well). But complications arose when my CD burner decided to act all retarded while I was trying to watch them. It couldn't finalize a media CD-R (of.. pictures..). So I paused it to try and work it out. Eventually, my dad came barging in and acted like a complete ass over the paused DVD. We're both not in too good of a mood today. ..I'm also downloading some Wild Force dailies from "Reinforcements From The Future", and had to delete quite a lot just to download the largest one. I'll probably just burn them to CD-R, like I did those Piper scenes...

11:09PM
Today started great.. and went downhill to the end. *sigh* Here's hope that tomorrow won't suck near as much. See ya.

'in your dreams' spoiler description ) Next week: "Drawn Into Danger" -- Yay! Something original.. Tommy, Conner, Ethan, and Kira get trapped in a comic book and it's up to Trent to save them... :)

I wonder if I should continue these descriptions or not..? No one seems to care rather I do or not. Everyone probably downloads it anymore anyway...

9:52AM
Just finished watching Ninja Turtles' "Space Invaders, Part II". As expected, it was quite awesome. I sorta fell asleep during the last commercial break, so I had to rewind and watch the rest on tape. Heh..

4:39PM
Suddenly, my dad doesn't care about saving money for bills. He bought us breakfast early this morning, and got quite a few things at the grocery store. While he was gone, I watched Nadesico episode 1 (damn, that was a lot of screaming.. but still, pretty good so far), the supposedly-complete Zeo Serial VCD I tried burning last night (I turned it off the second a defect showed up though.. looks like I'll be burning it again tonight), Roswell: Season 2's DVD special features (my fav had to be the Shiri & Majandra Show.. hehe), and finally the last episode of Roswell Season 2: "The Departure". Excellent episode. After that, my dad and I watched The Day After Tomorrow. Awesome movie. Loooved those special effects. :) I don't regret this purchase. We both think it's worth watching more than once. I'd recommend at least a rental. Then if you like it, wait to buy the two-disc special edition to be released next year. I might end up double dipping.. Maybe. :|

9:36PM
So I had a little supper and eventually;;y fell asleep on the couch for a few hours watching my dad's NASCAR race. Atleast I wasn't just bored all night... I woke up to the DVR acting all buggy. After I deleted a recording because it overlapped with another while he's watching the race, it starting recording Ninja Turtles. At just before 9:30PM. O_o Then, I look at the scheduled recording and see that my weekly scheduled recordings (TMNT and DBGT) are already in there for the next two Saturdays.. when the schedule doesn't go past a seven-day week. Weird. And I had had a dream just moments before where they had updated the DVR menus while I was.. trying to start taping Smallville? *shrug* Strange. Well, now I'm bored. Bah..

11:33PM
Thanks to "seanisviolent" for providing this link. Haha. :p

Well.. today was okay. Tomorrow looks incredibly boring, since most of the Wednesday shows I've DVRed to make Sunday less boring weren't on last week. At least my dad has no sports to watch. We'll be bored together. :p

Wow. As expected Power Rangers Dino Thunder's "Thunder Storm, Part 2" was quite awesome. It's probably my third favorite teamup... thunder storm part 2 spoiler description ) Next week: The Dino Thunder Rangers go "back to normal" with the episode titled "In Your Dreams"... No promo aired though.. *shrug*

9:33PM
Ninja Turtles just finished aired. Awesome episode. I liked that movie-like title card.. "SPACE INVADERS. PART I." *letters explode* I barely got the PRDT description done in time for this show. Ugh..

5:40PM
Well, I stayed busy watching crap.. so today wasn't that bad. I watched last night's Blue Collar TV on DVR, another episode of Roswell Season 2 on DVD ("Max In The City"), and the last episode of the GitS:SAC Vol 2 DVD (*sigh* I miss watching the series already). After that, I watched my Bruce Almighty DVD. Great movie... Then, I watched another great movie on DVD: Fahrenheit 9/11. There was a few details there I didn't even know. And I shed some tears during the post-invasion scenes in Iraq. :( I highly recommend everyone to see this movie, anyway you can. Even though it isn't the entire story (9/11 was staged; Isreal's involvement etc), it does get you to start asking questions... My dad did anything he could do not to watch it. Atleast he's anti-Bush already. I guess he though he wouldn't hear anything new. :p He also made some lame excuse for supper.. and tomorrow's sounds even worse. *sigh*

Earlier, I got the new November 2004 issue of FHM in the mail. Roswell's Katherine Heigl takes the cover and has a sexy photo shoot inside to help promote her new medical TV series, Grey's Anatomy, which is set to premiere on ABC in January (as well as her upcoming movie The Ringer). Be sure to pick up a copy.. of the magazine.. There's also a new Morgan Webb photo shoot.. *double drools* ;) I also downloaded some scans of both... >_>

9:35PM
There wasn't much to watch on TV. I watched a little of MadTV repeats on Comedy Central, I was online for a while. Blah. My dad was outside for quite a while, so I took over the TV and watched two more episodes of Robotech: Masters on DVD. I could barely stay interested once again. I'm really starting to doubt whether or not I'll buy the next set or not (New Generation Collection 1)... My dad actually came back in just as I started watching too.. so.. k..

10:57PM

8:02PM (Dino Thunder spoiler warning)
Just finished watching Power Rangers Dino Thunder: "Thunder Storm, Part 1". Awesome episode, but barely more than your average teamup so far. The episode begins with yet another new opening sequence. The only change is the addition of the Dino Thunder / Ninja Storm group shot from "Thunder Storm, Part 2". Maybe it's only for this two-parter? ... A group of men are called to some sort of disturbance, but find nothing once they get there ("Worker" is portrayed by PRNS/DT episodic director Charlie Haskell in this scene). Only moments after they call off for the day and leave, does the Earth open up and Lothor is freed. Meanwhile, Kira and Trent are studying at the Cybercafe when a familiar guy comes in (Blake Bradley). Kira is bugged by where she has seen him before and eventually decides to go up to him and ask. Trent shows off a somewhat jealous look as Kira discovers Blake is a Motocross racer and is invited to his next race. In some forest.. place, Shane, Dustin and Tori are in the middle of training their students in the form of a battle. The former Ninja Storm Rangers hand their asses to them with the help of their ninja powers. (The new suits are explained: they're sensei uniforms. The students are wearing the old style uniform they used to wear.) After class is dismissed, the three come across a message (a scroll) from Sensei on where to meet him. At Dino HQ, Hayley is trying to repair the computer system due to what she thinks is a malfunction. The sensors indicate that a blanket of evil is spreading all over California. Shane, Dustin and Tori meet Sensei at "the highest point" and he tells them that Lothor has returned. He gives them new wind morphers. They take them and attempt to morph.. but they make the three evil instead! Lothor breaks out of his Sensei disguise to show his true form. It was all a trick (lol @ Lothor: "It's a pleasure to see y'all."), and the real Sensei is tied up just below them on a cliff... At the Wind Ninja Academy, Marah and Capri find Cam worrying about where his father could be. Then he goes off to find him.. Cassidy and Devin arrive at the Motocross race to cover it and interview Blake for her new news job, but they aren't on the list to get in. And Conner, Kira and Ethan are. The race begins.. and Blake eventually wins. :) Meanwhile, Cam continues his search for Sensei, only to find the ripped scroll and some purple slime.. that he had seen at the gateway to the Abyss of Evil. Cam hurries back to the school. But he's too late. Lothor attacks with a duo of creatures he brought back with him from the Abyss. And the three evil Ninja Storm Rangers soon join in. For some unknown reason, Lothor captures the Wind Ninja students again. Marah and Kapri convince a gullible Lothor that they can rejoin forces with him once again. Their ninja uniforms are replaced with their classic clothes (Mickey Mouse ears and pink hair, 'member?). Back at Dino HQ, Hayley discovers that the evil is emanating from Blue Bay Harbor, and Tommy comments that that is where the Ranger ninja school is. Cam arrives at the ninja school to find a very damaged and abandoned place. He calls on Hunter Bradley to meet him downtown. Cam tells him that Lothor has returned. Blake is called by Cam as he's speaking with Kira, Ethan and Conner at the track. He exits.. and our Dino Thunder rangers are called to Dino HQ almost immediately thereafter. Lothor is attacking downtown Reefside with the evil Ninja Storm Rangers. The Dino Thunder Rangers go and fight them (Kira/Tori, Conner/Shane, Ethan/Dustin) as Cam, Hunter and Blake look on. The Dino Thunder Rangers eventually retreat to HQ, and Mesogog discovers Lothor's recent attack. He calls Lothor a buffoon and demands that Elsa bring the guy to him. The Dino Thunder Rangers bicker why they can't just destroy them, and Tommy tells them these guys used to be good and they need to break the spell over them. Meanwhile, in some cave somewhere, Elsa interjects into Lothor's makeshift lair. The evil Rangers want to destroy her, but Lothor wants to hear what she has to say. To be continued... Next weekend: "Thunder Storm, Part 2".. airs. And there's the "Strength In Numbers" Power Rangers teamup marathon on Sunday morning..

9:39AM
Just finished watching Ninja Turtles. Awesome conclusion to the "Big Brawl" quadrilogy. And a nice cliffhanger and preview for the "Space Invaders" saga starting next weekend. Can't wait...

1:01PM
Well, I watched Degrassi TNG (whoa.. intense), Radio Free Roscoe (lots of Travis character development.. at last), Grounded for Life (lol), and Reba (haha). After that, there wasn't really much left to watch. My dad's staying here all day long, so he took over. He's really throwing out the insults at me today, and not to mention that he's being an all-around asshole.. *sigh* :(

4:57PM
Ha. I woke up to an empty home a few hours after I had recommended we watch one of my DVDs. But my dad wanted to watch some crappy movie on TV instead. I almost took advantage of the emptiness by starting what I had been wanting to do all day: play a video game. But my dad, sensing the possibility of happiness, returned just in time. Ah well.. Now he's making some crap supper. Ugh.

10:03PM
I managed to take over the TV while my dad made supper. I watched an X-Files episode on DVD. Soon after, my dad went outside and I played The Sims some more. I wish I could import the house from the house mode to the neighborhood mode. That would be neat. I'm afraid I made "Richard Tesla" (the guy I control in house mode) too much like me. Every time I try to get him to learn some skills, he says he's "too depressed to study". He manages to clean up after himself and his mom etc.. then has no time for fun. He starts fires every time he tries to cook, and they now both sleep from morning to afternoon. :p I might be forced to start over from scratch... I stopped playing in time to watch / tape the two-hour pilot episode of Lost. They should've aired the whole thing together in the first place. It works much better that way. *drools @ Emilie's Australian accent s'more* I'm really captivated by the mystery of the island too. Can't wait to see more episodes in the coming weeks. :) I was agrivated a little by the minor annoyance. The ABC affiliate somehow received the episode with some moderate interference through the whole thing. And I was taping. Grr. Hope it's fixed by the new episode on Wednesday...

11:02PM
This morning was awesome. But after noon, it went downhill fast. It was only an average day though. Tomorrow will most likely be much worse.. I wonder if I'll be able to go out somewhere tomorrow. That could hold off the deafening boredom a little.. See ya.

Saturday 09.25.04 -- "Two White Rangers cannot exist simultaneously. Eventually, one has to go." [Sep. 25th, 2004|11:34 pm]

[Current Mood | okay]

6:38AM
I guess today isn't going to suck that much. We're finally going to use that ticket and see Resident Evil 2. :) I woke up a little early though.. I'm bored. :/

lol @ the new Skittles Bubble Gum ad and the new lame Jetix generic promo "Fe Fi Fo Fantastic!"

8:03AM
Wow. I actually managed to watch most of the Power Rangers Dino Thunder repeat before watching the new episode, which was quite awesome... So the episode begins with Trent visiting his father and discussing Mesogog. Cassidy shows up and tries to interview him concerning his latest project: a plant that can thrive anywhere. Trent ushers the duo out as Dr. Mercer begins his transformation. Back at evil HQ, Evil White Ranger experiences a power surge. Elsa explains that he's finally losing his powers, and that two White Rangers cannot exist at the same time. "When Zeltrax created you, it caused a glitch in the Morphin Grid. Two White Rangers cannot exist simultaneously. Eventually, one has to go." (I wonder when was the last time the Morphin Grid was mentioned..) Evil White decides it's time to destroy the Rangers, especially White, once and for all. Mesogog completes his transformation and hatches.. er, plants a scheme... Ethan's video game is interrupted by Evil White, convincing them to go into battle. And they do so. Evil White eventually brings his Dino Stegazord to the fight, the other bring Mezodon Megazord fully outfitted with the auxiliary zords. The Dino Stega goes down in the end though, and Ethan gains control of Stega. Mesogog sends his plant monster to the city and the Rangers meet him with Thundersaurus. Meanwhile, Evil White confronts Trent. He morphs (yay, I've missed this sequence) and Evil White goes Super Dino (so we can tell them apart). They begin to fight as a Megazord battle also commences, and the plant creates two other monsters to help him. Once the core three get kicked out of their zords, Tommy takes over in the.. Dino Stegazord? The White on White battle concludes with Trent as the victor, and Tommy takes down one of the auxiliary monsters but is thrown from the megazord by the other. Trent joins the others, and all five together, they eventually use all the Dinozords to form the Dino Rage Megazord for the first time. At this point, the Rangers destroy the remaining monsters quite easily. :p Elsa comes up with a plan to take Mesogog down before he does by striking when he is most vulnerable: when he is in Anton Mercer form. Anton arrives at the Cybercafe, gives Trent the award he's won, and ends with Trent hoping Anton's big project (of getting rid of his Mesogog transformations) is a success... Next Week: "The Thunder Storm, Part 1" -- Lothor returns from the abyss, makes an alliance with Mesogog, and places the Ninja Storm Rangers under a spell to attack the Dino Thunder Rangers. Who will survive? (probably all of them, but still.. I'm being dramatic) That new DT/NS promo that aired this morning rocks. Dustin: "I can't wait to face the Dino Rangers again." Just one more week, Dustin, one more week...

1:00PM
Damn, I got a little cheesy there at the end, didn't I? ..Anyway. I watched the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Awesome episode.. but where did the dart go? Or was it explained last week and I just forgot? :p While on topic, check out the Ninja Turtles series that never was. Warner Brothers considered picking it up for Kids WB & Cartoon Network back in 2001. In my opinion, the 4Kids version looks way better...

After that, I watched a few more things: yesterday's new episodes of Grounded For Life, Reba, and Radio Free Roscoe. Again, I needed the DVR space. Argh. After that, I watched the day's DVD episodes of X-Files. I think I might return to only one per weekend day. Two is more difficult to.. schedule... About forty minutes until we go. Yay...

4:16PM
Just got back from seeing Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Wow. I was surprised when I liked it even more than the first one. :) *drools @ Milla* My dad also liked it.. Glad I watched the first one on DVD first though. I'd highly recommend seeing that one first since it introduces the storyline that is continued here on a much larger scale. I already can't wait to see it again on DVD. :)

10:57PM
Boredom really set in after coming back from the movie. I surfed around th net for a while. Then, when my dad went outside, I took over the living room TV. I watched two more Gargoyles episodes (the Illuminati one was creepy). I sorta fell asleep after the first one for about 30 minutes, then watched the other. I still doubt I'll get enough sleep tonight. :p After that, I played a few video games until.. now. My dad finally got me to get off. MadTV's starting soon anyway.. and I missed it last week. :(

Well.. see ya..

Saturday 09.18.04 -- "Cowabunga!" [Sep. 18th, 2004|11:42 pm]

8:02AM
I already miss BoPR. :( This new episode of Dino Thunder, "Isn't It Lava-ly", was pretty cool though (besides the title). Anyone else notice that Power Rangers S.P.D. executive producer Bruce Kalish done the teleplay for this episode? Heh. I guess he was in town early. :p This episode began with Mesogog saying how he wants Zeltrax destroyed.. then the next scene is evil White Ranger trying to bring him back to the bad guys. Hmm. So White and Zeltrax fight for a bit, Zeltrax beats his ass and leaves. :/ Meanwhile, Tommy is closing the day's class with a couple announcements: Ethan will be competing in the Detonation Man video gaming competition, and that there'd be a substitute tomorrow that's a expert on volcanoes. After class, Devin breaks it to Cassidy that he's going to be too busy to hang with her today. Tommy tells Conner and Kira that he's taking the day off tomorrow to search for Zeltrax, and even mentions what happened to Krista in the last episode. :) Ethan is starting to get full of himself over the competition. While Tommy drives out to the middle of nowhere to search for Zeltrax, Dr. Norton Morton (lol) teaches Dr. O's class about volcanoes, even that Reefside was once the site of one a million years ago. Without Devin at her side, Cassidy arrives twenty minutes late and all messed up: bad hair day, clothes, etc. Elsa overhears about the volcano, and decides to kidnap the substitute and make him into their latest monster of the week ("You look familiar" Heh). Ethan arrives at the Cybercafe and is immediately surrounded by his loyal fans, who offer to buy him a drink. :p Conner and Kira are taking a walk when evil White Ranger crosses their path for some reason. Then Zeltrax arrives and battles the Rangers for a little while himself. Until evil White Ranger says something (that sounds as if it were voiced by someone different that usual) to him, and Zeltrax has some odd power-down and disappears. Elsa's new monster attacks the city, and the Rangers come to the rescue. The monster creates a volcano. In the sky. And molten rocks fall from it. As Cassidy continues her downward spiral without Devin around. :( Tommy comes in and helps the others battle the monster.. as Devin stays at the cafe. Conner goes Triassic battlizer and kicks the monster's ass. He explodes. Then Elsa does the usual and makes him grow. Then we get the usual ten-second megazord battle.. with the Rangers using the Stegazord as a surfboard again ("Cowabunga!" Ayeyaiyai). Red Ranger makes sure Dr. Morton is okay (of course he is), and Mesogog says the usual thing about punishment for Elsa's defeat.. that we never get to see. :/ Later, Ethan and Devin go head to head in the video games competition finals.. and Devin wins. Haha. Ethan got to full of himself and lost. Another lesson for kiddies. :p Cassidy comes in and sees what Devin was doing instead of being at her side and is pissed. Heh. The end. Next week, "Strange Relations": White Ranger and his evil clone go head to head to decide who gets to live. Then all five rangers join to make a new Megazord.. I think (the promo shows all five in Thundersaurus?). Awesome nonetheless. :)

9:51AM
Wow. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' season premiere, "Big Brawl, Part Two", was awesome. Definitely worth waiting all damn summer for. :p I'm sorta watching the end of VH1's Top 20 Countdown while waiting for Best Week Ever. Yup, there's a new episode this weekend. :) This countdown show is just annoying anymore though. I like Rachel Perry.. cuz I think she's hot. But then the things she said just became more and more stupid every weekend (I hope people write for her.. and it's not actually her saying these things). Now they added a male co-host to make it even more horrible. Wheee. Oh, it's over.. *runs off*

12:37PM
It looks like I'm screwed again. I was going to take some time this morning to watch some things on the DVR so I could empty it out some more. But no. Five seconds after I fell asleep on the couch, my dad changes the channel and takes over. *sigh* :/ And now I'm extremely bored already...

4:44PM
We both went to the grocery store and ended up spending about the same amount. I spent $24.92.. and his was just about ten cents less. Weird. We got back home and we watched a couple things on DVR: last night's Reba season premiere and Unprecedented: The 2000 Presidential Election - 2004 Campaign Edition recorded from the Sundance Channel. The latter is all about how Bush stole the presidency in 2000, and this new edition updates with how he'll most likely do it again this November. Great documentary. Then my dad got a letter that he had been accepted for Food Stamps: $10 a month. Ugh. So he had to bitch about that for a while (and rightfully so.. but I don't wanna hear it). Then he threatened to return the new big-screen TV to the rental place to save money. Maybe he doesn't want to work? He's only trying to get employed at one place right now: the place where he was fired from.. just because he heard stories of others who came back after being fired there. >_> How about returning to the job before that.. the one that payed more? Nah. *rolls eyes* And now he's off to my half-sister's house to discuss that one job he's hoping to get back, and will be back "shortly" (to my dad, shortly could mean hours). That's what he claims anyway... No supper tonight, I suppose. He has to save now. *sigh*

9:28PM
I just finished playing the Dino Thunder game for another few hours. I'm really liking it. As you play the main adventure game, you unlock the six basic zords from both Wild Force and Ninja Storm. I've only been able to unlock the Red Hawk and Yellow Lion from PRNS so far (besides the three main DT zords). Once you unlock them, you can use them in the separate Power Game areas only. Each area has missions for each zord. :) My dad still hasn't arrived home yet. I guess I'll go watch some crap on the DVR or something...

10:50PM
I watched some episodes of Whose Line on ABC Family while ad-aware scanned. Over 100 files found. Eek. I hope my problems are solved. Manually deleting and redeleting files was getting annoying. So I finally broke down and downloaded something. :p My dad's back.. so I didn't have any time to watch anything on DVR. Dang. At least he's not being a total ass and changing his mind about going out to breakfast in the morning..

TVShowsOnDVD.com now has a press release for the upcoming Gargoyles: Season 1 DVDs. With that retail price, I'm betting it will be pretty affordable on release week (December 7th). :) I'll most likely pick it up... They also have a news item with all the Dino Thunder DVD 4 & 5 info I posted yesterday. :p

11:41PM
I forgot all about Darklight on SciFi Channel. I gotta go watch / tape it in a few minutes. See ya...

12:36AM
SpikeTV can eat me! Assholes. I DVRed MDN just now. I added four extra minutes to the usual four extra minutes so the recording doesn't stop before the episode's over.. and they push it back just long enough to cut off the end once again. Thanks, Spike! At least this is the last episode. So I never have to watch SpikeTV again. Thank gawd..

Funaroverse was recently updated once again. My favorite bit would have to be the new UK Power Rangers magazine scans and a Wild Force comic strip (it would have been nice to get one that long in Disney Adventures). Thanks, Zarius.. of all people.. :p (He could've scanned them better though.)

8:00AM
*watches Power Rangers Lost Galaxy's "Facing The Past" during the Battlizer marathon* *demands cleavage in Dino Thunder* >:) It might not be as great as Maya's or Karone's, but still...

11:01AM
Wow. Super Monkey Hyperforce Team.. Monkey Team.. Go Mofo! (er whatever it's called) hasn't even started yet.. and I'm already annoyed by them. :p

This Dino Thunder episode, "The Passion Of Conner", was pretty cool though (as usual, the following might not be in exact order). The opening credits have been changed once again, to include shots of the battlizer debuting in this episode.. The episode begins with Conner being into this girl at school (Krista, played by The Tribe's Antonia Prebble). Ethan and Trent didn't think they could be a good match, but Conner approached her anyway. Conner soon learns she is covering the school walls with fliers for a protest involving the removal of a 100-year-old tree behind the school. Conner shows immediate interest in order to get closer to her. Elsa is interested in the tree as well. She plans to harvest the tree's powerful serum. Soon, the protest is under way and plenty of students show up. Krista overhears Conner's true feelings, that he's only acting like he cares for the tree. Krista gets angry. Cassidy and Devin show up, but Devin's the only one of the two who really seems to care. He's tied to the trunk of the tree as Cassidy leaves. Krista blocks the machinery from harming the tree, but soon gets in harm's way. A part of the.. machine.. falls from right above her. Conner uses his superspeed power to get her out of the way before she's squashed (and no one saw?). Principal Randall soon calls off the destruction of the tree until tomorrow. And everyone eventually leaves.. except for Devin, who can't. No one has minded to untie him. lol. Krista and Conner walk away, and Conner promises here that he won't let anything happen to the tree. Later, Devin is awakened from a nap by someone drilling into the tree. He turns a little to see an injured Zeltrax harvesting the tree's serum (which looks like apple juice to me). Zeltrax uses the serum to power himself up. Then he tells Devin to let the rangers know that he's back. Devin is told to go, so he slips out from under the ropes and leaves (couldn't he have done that earlier?). He stays nearby and watches as Elsa shows up to battle Zeltrax. Zeltrax then transforms the tree into a monster, and they both leave. Devin shows up at the Cyber Cafe and tells Cassidy what happened. The rangers overhear every word. Krista goes to the site of the tree, while the rangers head to Dino HQ. Hayley tells the rangers that the tree was grown over a "fountain of youth" (the water looks like sour milk though). Mesogog isn't pleased that Zeltrax has stolen the serum. Elsa suggests getting some of the water, but Mesogog explains that the water is useless now. At Dino HQ, Conner and Tommy have a heart-to-heart convo and hints there maybe be more ranger power still left untapped. An army of black and white Triptoids appear downtown. Devin is told to stay (ugh) while the core three and Tommy go and take care of them. When they arrive, they notice that Elsa and the evil White Ranger clone have come as well. A Triptoid battle commences, that is until Tommy reveals a way to defeat them. The rangers charge up their dino powers somehow and the Triptoids all vanish at once (hopefully for the last time). A newly-transformed Zeltrax decides to crash the party at this point, with that tree monster -- now super-sized. Tommy takes care of Zeltrax while the rangers take on the monster and the evil White Ranger's zord (still no explanation) with Thundersaurus and Triassic Megazords. Trent soon comes to Tommy's aide, then Tommy directs the other three to put all the zords together to create the Triceramax Megazord. Conner acts like he knows what he's talking about and does as told. The tree monster soon gets his ass handed to him while evil White Ranger escapes. Zeltrax takes a part of the tree and exits his battle. He goes to the former site of the tree, pushes Krista aside, and throws the piece into the 'fountain', giving him more power. Red Ranger shows up and battles him for a moment, before Zeltrax kidnaps Krista and leaves. Red Ranger soon finds Zeltrax climbing a mountain as if he were on the moon or something (he's practically floating up there :p). Upon remembering what Tommy told him, Conner taps into more power: the Triassic Battlizer. Zeltrax drops Krista, but Conner catches her with his new elasto-arms (yup, as in 'go go gadget arms' lol). He then battles Zeltrax, and takes him down with the use of his new elasto-kick (yup, his legs stretch too), Dragon Yo-Yo, and cannons. He assumes Zeltrax is defeated.. until he stands up (now back to his regular form) and disappears. Later, many come together at the site of the tree. Conner apologizes for being the jerk that he is and plants the new tree (which is pretty damn small). Krista sorta hints at a future relationship between herself and Conner.. but I doubt we'll ever see her again. *rolls eyes* This was an okay episode. I liked it. The battlizer is pretty damn cool, but it's debut was less than awesome. :/ They probably shouldn't have debuted it in this marathon, because most of the other battlizers look better in comparison. The Triceramax was awesome though. Next week: another repeat. Ack! :| The next new episode isn't until September 18th, alongside Jetix's new fall line-up...

2:06PM
Just finished watching another X-Files episode on DVD and the first of my The Days VCDs (I want to watch through all six this week to confirm quality). And now the boring is about to set in, only at a much later time than a regular Sunday. Dino Thunder switched the days of the week on me. Except my dad went off to church.. and he still hasn't returned. He's most likely spending his free time today (NASCAR race is in primetime this week) with his real family, as usual. Who really gives a rat's ass about me, right? *shrug* I think I'll finish sending these mp3s then.. I dunno..

8:57PM
Soooo bored. I actually watched parts of two Olsen twins movies on ABC Family before changing over to another MadTV marathon. Then I pretty much got stuck in my room for a few hours. For some reason, I'm suddenly searching for a gmail invite (gimme!). So I searched online for that for a few hours. Then bitched over my dad claiming to be too broke to even afford supper for today. At least he eventually went out and got something... Now I'm very bored again.. and searching for gmail invites.. >_>

11:02PM
Heh. I actually slipped into the other room just now while my dad is out to check on the Toon Disney Dino Thunder promo.. only to remember there won't be one as soon as I watched the closing credits. Heh. Damn, I'm bored. I wish I could go out more.. but my dad claims we can't afford it. Maybe that's partly why I enjoy media buying so much. *shakes fist @ labor day tomorrow* But at least I have the 5th season premiere of The Tribe to look forward to..

Saturday 08.28.04 -- MMPR White Ranger: "Finally cut that hair, huh Tommy?" [Aug. 28th, 2004|11:30 pm]

12:55AM
I'm listening to that Katy Rose CD right now. Just awesome. :)

6:18AM
After saying he would never return to his New Jersey "trilogy", Kevin Smith is now planning to make a sequel to Clerks. Wow. O_O I hope he changes that title though. Eek.

8:02AM (Dino Thunder spoiler warning)
Whoa. I actually enjoyed today's Best of Turbo more than I thought I would. Then Power Rangers Dino Thunder expanded on that enjoyment by 34654523. >_> In "Fighting Spirit" (this might not be in perfect episode order, but still..), Hayley has figured out a way to return Tommy to his old visible self.. but needs a power source for the device. Tommy gives her his Dino Gem to power it, and even though they don't think it's a very good idea, they do it anyway. Something goes wrong and Tommy is turned visible.. but now he's in a deep coma and his Dino Gem is now in pieces. Meanwhile, Elsa digs with some drilling device until they find what they've came for: a white crystal that's made of the same stuff as the ranger's Dino Gems. She powers up the previously-defeated Terrorsaurus with this new-found power source. Hayley and the rangers get Tommy to Reefside Hospital but the doctor assigned finds he can do nothing for him. Then they see Terrorsaurus attacking on the news and the rangers go to battle. Meanwhile, inside Tommy's mind, he comes across one of his old selves, Zeo Ranger V (Red). Tommy discovers he can't morph into Black. They battle in a desert setting (until Red Zeo departs) while the rangers battle their previous foe once again. But then Terrorsaurus fries all of their powers (causing them all to demorph) and leaves. That's when Cassidy and Devin arrive. They were sent by that news guy to get some ranger footage during the battle (..without any cameras). The rangers hide their morphers as the duo approach. Cassidy inquires about their battered state, then is told that the rangers never came to help. Back inside Tommy's mind, he's now in a barren forest setting. He says he's not in Reefside anymore, and a voice replies that he's not in Angel Grove either. The White Ranger appears before Tommy and another battle ensues. While the rangers have returned to his bedside. The news soon reports though that Terrorsaurus is attacking once again. The powerless rangers take off to meet up with him. Cassidy is told she has the lead story on today's news broadcast.. a story about the rangers abandoning the city. Cassidy decided to take up the offer, while Devin says he's not going along with this. After a while, the White Ranger departs as well.. then Tommy is transported to a greener forest setting. Here he sees the Green Ranger (the helmet seems to look a bit different though). Yet another exciting battle ensues (featuring a new version of the classic Dragon Dagger tune). Cassidy does her news report.. then switches it around to say that she doubts the rangers would just abandon the city, Devin is pleased, but that news guy isn't. The rangers meet up with Terrorsaurus and get their powerless asses handed to them. :/ The three past ranger forms of Tommy appear together and tell him that he has been battling to live this whole time, has passed the test, and hand him his three Dino Gem pieces. He soon awakens in the hospital, then joins the rangers in battle. He destroys Terrorsaurus all by himself (well, with the help of his new Super Dino Mode). This releases the white crystal, which breaks and gives the other rangers their power back. Just when I thought we'd go one episode without a zord battle, Terrorsaurus is resurrected in huge form and the core three rangers bust out their zords for a near-useless 1-minute battle (going Super Dino in the cockpit was neato). Back at HQ, the rangers hear the story of what happened to Tommy and they react quite like how the fans are probably reacting to this episode on RangerBoard as write this (haha). The rangers comment that they're glad that he's back... even though he technically never went anywhere. :p What an awesome episode! I officially thank Doug Sloan and the writers for making up for the less-than-awesome episodes we have gotten as of late. Maybe they we focusing on making this one perfect while abandoning the others? *shrug* I just wish this one had a chance of coming out on DVD.. :( Next week (er, week from tomorrow): Conner whines once again over if he's cut out to be a ranger.. then forgets all about that when he gets a new toy: the Triassic battlizer. What a baby.. Oh, and he uses it to battle a resurrected Zeltrax.. :p

Also, today is Power Rangers' eleventh anniversary. The very first episode, "Day Of The Dumpster", aired on this date in 1993. Happy birthday! And what a way to celebrate... ;)

1:01PM
Following PRDT, I watched that three-part Radio Free Roscoe finale that I DVRed. Now I remember how great those episodes were. Then, I got online for a little. After that, I finally watched / taped the final two episodes of Vandread that I DVRed last night. WOW. Now that was a finale. Action, adventure, heroic speeches.. and even a little comedy. I am so buying this series on DVD.. some day. :)

Also, Doug Sloan has posted a message on RangerBoard concerning the endlessly good reception for this morning's new Dino Thunder episode. He hints that PR veteran, and writer of the episode, Jackie Marchand is sticking around for S.P.D.. And he notes that the upcoming two-part Ninja Storm / Dino Thunder team-up arriving in October is "absolutely insane!" lol :)

2:07PM
*sigh* Boredom. I'm surprised it took this long to set in.. I'm waiting to watch this documentary premiering on the Sundance Channel in about an hour. I guess I'll watch it in my room. With the small screen. And no comfortable places to sit. -_- ..damn, this Mt Dew Pitch Black rocks.. Can't wait for tonight. My dad will be watching NASCAR and football.. at the same time. I'll be double the bored. :(

*rolls eyes @ how RangerBoard has become so.. censored* Funaro: "Ray justifies RB as a gestapo state by saying it makes the actors happy. Um, Emma told him she wants flaming RB back. Chan and Sally haven't REGULARLY posted since the treaty. Doug flames INCESSANTLY, which is FUNNY. He sold out. He FUCKING SOLD OUT." So true... :( Funaro: "Oh, and guys? I don't think Sal came back for real. And I'll tell you why. Check her member status. There's no 'previous time online.' Just offline. Sally joined before 'last time online' was a feature... But if she'd logged in recently, it WOULD activate. I think it was Ray or somebody saying goodbye 'for' her." Interesting...

4:08PM
I'm not watching most of The President vs. David Hicks. I laughed at that part where they questioned that army guy from Guantanamo Bay about if these people will get justice in court, and he replied with some bullshit line that had barely anything to do with what was asked. Then, he said the exact same thing later in the film, when asked about prisoners not being able to have contact with family members and lawyers! I do commend him for memorizing so well the bullshit lines they give him to say though *rolls eyes*.. I think I'll be more interested in seeing Uncovered: The Whole Truth About The Iraq War on Sundance next month..

9:56PM
Damn. I didn't expect to sleep that long. I was bored, so I thought I could sit down on the couch and sleep for maybe an hour or two.. But then I slept for over four hours. Heh... This guy in #power-rangers is getting really annoying. I asked him to send one of the rare Mighty RAW tracks (the fservs with them are locked from me because of some firewall crap). He says no, and soon adds a rule to his ad pretty much saying "don't do what I did". Then, an op asks for them, and he sends every single one. I understand the op superiority crap, but still... :| ..To anyone that has "Silver Ranger" and/or "Zords (Instrumental)" by The Mighty RAW: pleeease send them to me. I'd reeeally appreciate it. *sighs* *falls to pieces*

11:26PM
*sigh* Today wasn't that bad.. I guess. Tomorrow will most likely be even worse.. See ya.

Coooooooool. The official Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas website went live just a few hours ago, complete with a map of Los Santos and its first trailer. :)

6:15AM
Thanks to not being able to sleep, I caught the Battlizer Marathon promo just now. Niiiice. So the marathon will count down the Power Rangers Power Picks votes.. and that Triassic Battlizer looked sweeeet. :) "Super Fire Power!"

8:02AM (Dino Thunder spoiler warning)
Just finished watching the power hour. Great episode of Turbo. I liked the battle on the Turbo Megazord.. even though it sentai footage.. :/ Dino Thunder's "Disappearing Act" was cool too. Elsa creates a monster without the help of the Genome Randomizer, and picks up some green slime from some geyser-looking thing. Tommy & Hayley see this and get a sample for themselves. They discover it could demorph Tommy, and the rangers suddenly care about demorphing him all of a sudden. They try it out, it demorphs Tommy... but he turns invisible. Also, Kira and Connor help Ethan get ready for his first date with Cassidy, with humorous results. A monster battle calls them away. The writers throw Trent off to a separate useless battle with Tyrannodrones while the others battle Thornox and the evil White Ranger clone.. with no real reason given for why he's suddenly back from the dead. Can't wait for Zeltrax to return in the same way. *rolls eyes* Anton Mercer has Mesogog transformation problems in front of his class. Neat. Anyway, the monster fight makes Ethan late for his date. The others watch from HQ as Ethan performs horribly.. that is until InvisiTommy comes in (awww). ;) But again, their good time is interrupted by a battle. Cassidy departs as Ethan and InvisiTommy battle the 'drones. Later, we get a Zord battle with Thornox and evil White Ranger's Dino Stegazord (just keep diggin' those plot holes, guys!). Connor pulls out the Mezadon Megazord to even the fight to two-on-two. Rangers win, as usual (and without rekilling evil White Ranger). Later, Ethan decides to break it off with Cassidy.. but Cassidy breaks it off with him first. Haha. (Whew. Another "ewwww" moment averted, kids!) -End.- It was okay... barely.. but why all the plot holes with the White Ranger and Red Ranger using Tommy's 'Energy Orb' move? Do the writers even care anymore?! ... Next week: "Fighting Spirit"... Elsa's new monster is powered by some white crystal. This monster totally fries the rangers' morphing powers.. Oh, and Tommy finally gets his Super Dino Mode on. ;)

And I swear if I see that Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 commercial again.. I'm gonna hurl. I almost did while watching DT... >:(

12:33PM
So I watched last Wednesday's Reno 911! on DVR (after forgetting about it for the rest of the week). This episode is the low point of the season for me so far. I liked the episode, but it's my least favorite this season.. Then I fell asleep on the couch for a few hours. Then, I watched Best Week Ever. Now they're taking a break next week, then doing a "best of summer" show next week. *rolls eyes* They get too much time off already. ..Now I gotta get ready to go see AVP.. :)

3:47PM
I loved Alien Vs. Predator! It was a great action film. I just think the ones who didn't like it only compared it with the other Alien and Predator movies (I've only seen 5 out of 6 of them so far). I'll definitely be buying the DVD, even if the studio gets retarded and only releases this PG-13 version.. :|

6:18PM
Well, Buena Vista has somewhat announced Lizzie McGuire - Season 1 on DVD... and the only news we get Power Rangers-wise is an announcement of a December 7th release date for the Power Rangers Dino Thunder, Volume 4 & Volume 5 DVDs (and look, I guessed a release date correctly for a third time!). We also get an answer from Buena Vista, saying there's no press releases on tap for any future Power Rangers boxed sets.. *sigh*

TVShowsOnDVD.com has also announced a list of special features for the upcoming Smallville: Season 3 DVD set. Cooool. :)

ROCKY POINT (WB) - Lauren Holly (Just Desserts), Travis Fimmel (Tarzan), Moon Bloodgood (C.S.I.), Beau Garrett and John Patrick Amedori are set to round out the cast of the drama pilot, which centers on Cassie (Chyler Leigh), a young woman living on Hawaii's North Shore who takes in her estranged father (Billy Campbell). Fimmel will play Cassie's boyfriend Taj, a charismatic professional surfer, while Bloodgood and Garrett will play Cassie's roommates with Holly as their landlord, a New York attorney who recently moved to Hawaii with her karate enthusiast son (Amedori). Production is set to begin early next month on the pilot, which comes from Blue Crush's John Stockwell and Lizzy Weiss.
Yay. Another new show starring Chyler Leigh, a babe so hot that his brother (Power Rangers in Space's Christopher Khayman Lee) couldn't even keep his hands off of her (just rent Kickboxing Academy sometime and you'll see what I mean). But she also seems to be a TV series curse as of late (That 80s Show, Girls Club, and The Practice were all canned once she was included in the cast)...

10:48PM
The evening was quite boring... until I decided to watch my Mighty Morphin Season 2 Vol 8 VCD ("The Ninja Encounter" Parts 1-3) while my dad was.. somewhere. Damn. I wish they'd used that "jetting" technique more. That was cooool, as was the episodes. :)

Well... see ya.

8:02AM (Dino Thunder spoiler warning)
Did anyone else notice the building destruction in today's Power Rangers Turbo? Maybe ABC Family has decided that three years of editing for 9/11 is enough? *shrug* Anyway.. after that, it was time for the new Dino Thunder episode: "Tutenhawken's Curse". It was alright, not as good as last week.. or the week before.. but alright. Ethan decodes and reads the inscription on Tutenhawken's.. thing.. and is cursed. And so Tutenhawken awakens, and chooses Cassidy as his queen. lol. This brings about some nice character development on her part. She accepts his offer.. until she discovers Tutenhawken plans to attack the city. The battles between Elsa and White Ranger didn't make much sense. He got a beatdown from her in Super Dino Mode, then later he beat her down without it? Bah. Ethan decodes the other part of the inscription and discovers Tutenhawken can only be defeated in the air, so Haylay must alter her latest creation so it can fly (lol @ the "we need it to fly" exchange). Ethan's hovercraft cycle thingy was kinda cool. But then the rangers defeat Tutenhawken with the Triassic Mega-Rover.. so that didn't make much sense either. Next week: nothing! Next new episode would be "Disappearing Act" on August 21st. >:(

TVShowsOnDVD.com finally has a street date for the upcoming Gargoyles 1st Season DVD, straight from the creator himself: December 7th, 2004. A two-disc set with a retail price of $29.99. Sweet. :)

11:10AM
My dad and I went out to a few places this morning. I went to Blockbuster to check on Spider-Man 2 for PS2 for the 34654363653th time. There were no copies in, of course. It does seem like they've got some new copies in on Thursday though. It's just that they were all gone already. And my free rental card for this game expires on Wednesday... -_-

I could find nothing to watch, so I turned it over to the nascar qualifying my dad wanted to see so badly. I only have a casual interest. I root for Jeff Gordon.. but I rarely watch the races. :p ...And so comes the boredom once again...

5:33PM
A little while after my dad left for work, I watched my Mighty Morphin Season 2 Vol 3 VCD. And I just finished. Loved these episodes, which all focused on Tommy's eventual loss of his Green Ranger powers. I especially liked them for their abundance of US footage. :) I can't wait to watch some more later in the week...

7:15PM
Today hasn't been so bad.. so far. I ordered some pizza online, and when it arrived, I watched one episode each of Vandread (the most dramatic episode yet) and Robotech: Masters (the most interesting episode yet). Now I guess I'll.. wait.. in the usual boredom.. yearning for Tuesday's media buying... :p

10:19PM
*yawwwn* Now I can't wait for the week to get here. :p So bored. Nothing but internet and somewhat-entertaining TV. All night. And tomorrow will be even worse with the nascar race my dad must watch all afternoon.. *sigh*

See ya...
