I've got to agree. Leaking "brown fluid" is pretty much a sign of serious infection.

Serious infection can be treated easily with modern technology.

Serious infection left untreated still doesn't mean you'll die (thanks to said technology)... no, it just means you could lose that leg.

If you are hoping that leg will kill you off if you wait, you will be very disappointed. Because it won't. At worst, it will get removed and you'll get to live with only 1 leg.
