FUNimation has tentatively set Afro Samurai, Volume 1 for DVD release on May 22nd. It will be released in two forms: a Spike TV version for a $19.98 SRP and an uncut version for a $39.98 SRP. I really hope that latter price goes down a bit. I hate having to buy additional items with anime DVDs. I always end up just throwing them aside and never messing with them again.. Plus, separate volumes for a five-episode series? *shakes fist @ FUNi* >:(
Even though it has mysteriously disappeared from Cartoon Network's schedule recently, Fox Home Entertainment will release Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, Volume One onto DVD on March 27th. It will include four rather random episodes -- "Doomed", Hard Knocks", "World's Tiniest Heroes" & "De-Mole-Ition" (the last of which being an as-yet-unaired episode) -- for a $14.98 retail price. Neat. :) Wish the episodes were in order though..
I awoke in the morning and watched some of the usual morning TV. Then I found the baby book my mother had made for me and looked though it a bit. It was filled with baby pictures of me and other mementos. Then when it reached age 6, it was empty. My mom passed away before I reached six. And I guess my dad just didn't care about such things.. I spent the rest of the morning playing 24: The Game. And I quite like it.. when using the invulnerable and unlimited ammo cheat codes. ;) I only shut it off when my dad returned from dialysis feeling all weak. That, and it was about time for Passions (haha's @ Fox.. according to the episode descriptions, it sounds like PRWF's Phillip Jeanmarie will be back as his "Tabloid Reporter" role on Wednesday or Thursday, as a love interest for Valerie)..
Once it ended, my dad headed off to bed again and I watched the first three episodes of Buffy: Season 3 (cooool.. I was going to watch only two, but I was in the mood for another :) ). My dad woke up not long after the news started, then I got online to news-gather. We eventually had some supper, then finished up online at 8PM.. My dad was awake for bit, but went to bed again. I watched How I Met Your Mother (lol), The Class (haha), Two & A Half Men (lol), Old Christine (lol) and CSI Miami (neat).
I just couldn't get into the shows all that much tonight though. My dad briefly came out of bed again and I watched as he could barely hold a glass of milk. *sigh* ..See ya..
