PRWF "Forever Red" cut scene - slash [Jul. 3rd, 2003|12:37 pm]
Previous Entry Add to Memories Tell a Friend Next Entry
Here's another Power Rangers cut scene courtesy of Chris Funaro of Funaroverse. This scene is from the infamous "Forever Red" episode...

INT. MEGASHIP OBSERVATION DECK.

Tommy leans against a window, watching the Earth slowly recede into the distance. In the BACKGROUND we see TJ and Eric chatting like old friends over drinks from the Synthetron, and Cole attempting to talk up a less than enthused Jason. ALPHA SEVEN appears beside Tommy.

ALPHA
Ai-yi-yi! What's the matter, Tommy?

TOMMY
(turning back towards the others)
Oh, it's Jason. Things have been so awkward between us ever since we found those stories on the internet...

That's a reference to Jason/Tommy slash fanfic, of course. Chris says he has the full script for the episode, but I'm not mean enough to keep bugging him until he gives it up. I sorta look up to the guy anyway...

See ya.

I just got done with a little bit of research and got to thinking. In recent seasons, what with Forever Red and the Team Carnival excerpt I read, not to mention all the talk concerning Dinozords next season, I'm beggining to wonder if Tommy hasn't stepped into the role vacated by Zordon, lending assistance to all the Power Ranger Teams when nessecary and keeping Angel Grove safe in the meantime. Then again, I'm probably just hoping that a season or two from now they might put together a kind of Ulimate Power Rangers Season, where they could invite back former Rangers to do cameos as a kind of signing-off tribute to the series before it finally wraps up. That would be soooo cool.

(Too bad that scene didn't make the final cut too. Would've been perfect!)
